A Week in CASL photos: April 27th-May 3

Good morning! I am glad you stopped by to visit me today! How is your weekend going? We are just unpacking and getting settled. The girls went for a fun and relaxing swim yesterday, and then Lindsay and I made brownies, except she had fallen asleep, and hid the chocolate chips, (I don't know why?); it's always an adventure! I did find them in the freezer! Today, I'm starting to put my gallery walls together for my One Room Challenge.

What I like about doing a Photo365, is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. I've tried 365 Photo or Daily photo memes several times before, and surprisingly, I am getting farther posting my photos once a week, instead of once a day. It makes a big difference, and it's really nice to look back and see a slice of my day!

April 27th- Prepare.. Salsa Verde Chicken, Pepper Jack Cheese and Sour Cream Enchiladas...It's What's For Dinner and perfect for Cinco de Mayo.

April 28th-In my bedroom...Kitty Soft Paws loves Her New House....She made herself right at home!

April 29th...I walked here...The lake and park by our house. The dogs love the new scenery on our walks.

April 30th...I need...A strong cup of coffee, to keep me going. My nana always used her percolator, and when my daughter Marissa came for a visit she showed me how to use a French Press. When I need a strong cup of coffee, I bring it out!

May 1st...I want...After needing coffee, now I seriously want sweet, and it has to be Fudgy Double Chocolate brownies.

May 2nd...Faceless selfie....Reminds me to always take time to smell the Roses (enjoy the little things, because they are just as if not more important!!)

May 3rd....A cup of....since I did coffee earlier this week, I thought I'd make myself a Banana Triple Berry Smoothie. Notice a pattern, I eat something sinful, than I remedy that with a healthy smoothie. Helps with the guilt!! ;)

A Week in CASL photos: April 6- April 12

Good morning! I am so glad you stopped by to visit me today! How was your weekend? Mine was busy and exciting. Part of me was glad that we didn't get all moved this weekend, and then the other part of me wishes, to really be living in our new house. It is so much closer to everything. Where we live now, is about 10 minutes further away.

Then I had fun shopping for fabric with my mom. Picked out this really pretty aqua print for my new Spring throw pillows. We didn't get a chance to go shopping at IKEA, I'll get to that later this week.
I took the girls to a last minute birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza, which is always fun. We got to visit with family that we only get to see about once a year.

April 6- Round..With my mother coming to visit and with moving, I needed a quick no-bake dessert. For lunch, I just whipped up some macaroni salad, and sandwhiches, with this
Easy No Bake Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cream pie. You can find the original recipe here. When I went to the store, there was no strawberry cream Jello pudding, so I changed it up to chocolate.

April 7- Beautiful...It amazes me how even a tiny cutting of Stock makes an ordinay spot in my kitchen beautiful! *the wine too*

April 8- Breakfast- You all know I am trying to eat healthier. Today for breakfast, I had fresh strawberries, turkey sausage, and some chai tea.

April 9th...Inspiration- The very first bloom on my Pineapple Guava tree! As I was watering tonight, it caught my attention out of the corner of my eye,...I am actually starting to feel like I have a Green Thumb!

April 10th- Dark- The perfect kind...Dark Chocolate! Sea Salt with Almonds! Even though I am eating healthier, I have learned to indulge in a square or two of chocolate!

April 11th- Smells good- I know what you are thinking, didn't she just said she was trying to eat healthier. As it happened, on our way to Peter Piper Pizza, we made a pit stop. We live about 25 miles away from Chandler, Az, and the girls wanted to stop in Bosa doughnuts, instead of running to the restrooms in Peter Piper. I have to say though, my mouth couldn't help but water, smelling these fresh baked doughnuts. Very tempting, but like I said...I am trying to eat healthier.

April 12th- Something Green- Here to redeem myself after the doughnut dubacle. Today's green smoothie is a Tropical one, with Frozen pineapple and banana, romaine lettuce (to me it tastes better than spinach), and some coconut milk.

A Week in CASL Photos: February 12- February 18

I am so glad you stopped by to visit me today! What I love about Wednesday is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. I've tried 365 Photo or Daily photo memes several times before, and surprisingly, I am getting farther posting my photos once a week, instead of once a day. It makes a big difference, and it's really nice to look back and see a slice of my day!

February 12- Pointy- How does that saying go again? "All we need is LOVE!!" When I think of pointy this time of year, I think of Cupid's Arrows!

February 13- What tempts me...Chocolate gets me every time!! I've even dedicated a full board on There is a lot to be said about planning your blog posts. Not that I've been procrastinating, well maybe a little. Truth be told I am all chocolate out! I didn't think I could say it, but there it is..Seriously...I had a post planned for brownies, but with the cake I made for Lindsay's birthday, (which is the post I should have written, and I do have a picture of that), and the mountain of chocolate for Valentine's Day, I couldn't look or eat anymore chocolate! With that my post is coming, since I ran out of chocolate last night! It did help me realize to become better at planning out my posts. Does anyone else plan out their posts in advance, or do you post when you feel inspired?

February 14- LOVE- Me and my husband about two years ago in Vegas!

Every Valentine's Day my hunny gifts me with Yellow roses, because they are my favorite, and since we are high school sweethearts, the first time he gave me yellow roses, for friendship. I think he didn't want to scare me off, with red roses. He is my best friend, so it always seemed perfect for me and, it's lasted ever since. This year he surprised with another one of my favorites peach orchids.

February 15- Spot...I spotted this giraffe at Home Goods the other day!

What I was really looking for were some new candle stands and coastal décor, like these!

February 16- Where I stand... After Home Goods, I stopped by my favorite used bookstore to pick up my favorite magazines and a cook book or two. Can anyone else get lost in a used book store like me for hours?

February 17- Routine- My morning routine... A cup of coffee in my favorite DIY Watercolor mug (that just happens to be my #1 on Pinterest) and a Triple Berry Smoothie today! Both help jumpstart my morning for this busy momma of 4! You can find more smoothie recipes on my

February 18...Bedside...Teatime reading my new magazines. The quote on the teatag reads
"Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one."- Brad Paisley

Day 36: Something Blue...Blueberries in a Blue bowl. This week I shared my Blueberry-Lemon cupcakes with Lemon cream cheese frosting. One of my favorite combinations Lemons and Blueberries!

Day 37: Makes me Smile...Sister love, and the quilt. My mother made this for Lindsay's Birthday! These two may not get along all the time, but when they do it melts my heart!

Day 38: Stripes...Happy 9th Birthday my sweet blue eyed girl!!

Day 39: In my bag (vase)...I thought you would find these pretty tulips more interesting than what is in my bag.

Day 40: Energy...Most days, I have a smoothie! Today I am sharing my Green tea, Apple/Pear, Spinach with ginger and vanilla flavored Greek yogurt! Looking for more smoothie Inspiration. Follow my Smoothie Pinterest board.

A Week in CASL Photos January 29- February 4

I am so glad you stopped by to visit me today! What I love about Wednesday is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. I've tried 365 Photo or Daily photo memes several times before, and surprisingly, I am getting farther posting my photos once a week, instead of once a day. It makes a big difference, and it's really nice to look back and see a slice of my day!

January 29: Winter... I am not going to complain, about how cold it has been here. We've only gotten at most 3 days that were chilly and rainy. My thoughts and prayers are for those of you that are in the North and North East, that you are safe and warm.

January 30:  My favorite food...Spicy Italian Sausage Penne pasta with Red Peppers, Onions topped with Provolone cheese..I could eat this every day! I learned a new trick instead of draining the pasta, I cooked it with a 2 cups chicken stock and a jar of Marinara, came out perfect!

January 31: On my Plate... This morning, it was time for a Sweet, Strawberry-Orange smoothie.

Febuary 1: On top..Believe it or Not this is the first time I have made a No-Bake Cherry Cheesecake..It's not box, but made with Cream Cheese and Condensed milk. First and most importantly, I love to Bake! With that said, I'm not a fan of No-Bake! Don't get me wrong this was amazingly creamy and I would use this in a pinch for a last minute needed dessert, but I prefer the texture and taste of a baked Cheesecake. I got the recipe from Eagle Brand.

Febuary 2: Mail...It's tax time and I'm not sure if I am more excited to receive my Fry's Customer Loyalty coupons, or the Guest Appreciation Event for Jared's

February 3: Water...There is something Zen like about floating Orchids. Here is an interesting fact about Orchids, some Orchids are highly prized for their scent. In fact, there is an Orchid that smells like Chocolate. Now I could enjoy the smell of chocolate, without all those bothersome calories.

February 4: Reward...Ha...I know what you are thinking...'Chocolate'. If you ask me, what movie I have seen more than 5x...I'd of course say 'Frozen'. Whenever Elsa and Anna say 'Chocolate', I get the sensation of chocolate melting in my mouth...Anyways, no, my reward, (you know as a Mom, tell me I'm not alone in this, but I feel sometimes like the cook, the maid, the chauffeur, the doctor...etc).. to myself, was going to Michaels and getting an apothecary jar to make this Coastal Succulent Garden, which has absolutely nothing to do with Chocolate, but very pretty to look at. Feeling Inspired to make one check out this post from Sand and Sisal.
