Modern Home Lighting with Parrot Uncle and a $50 Giftcard Giveaway

Thanks to Parrot Uncle for sponsoring this post. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own.

Happy Friday! I’m so glad that you are visiting me today, because I am super excited to share with you Parrot Uncle lighting and my co-host Karren at Oh My Heartsie Girl to bring you this $50 Gift card Giveaway good towards any product purchase at Parrot Uncle, and shipping is free!

Parrot Uncle has the most beautiful and unique styles of lighting that would make for a perfect match, no matter what your style, to fulfill all of your lighting needs, for every room in your home. They also have fabulous outdoor lighting, as well.

One stylish look that is widely popular right now around the world is the chic look of vintage industrial lighting fiextures. They are not only very appealing, but timeless as well. A vintage industrial chandelier is the kind of lighting that is very suitable in both function and form.

If I had my choice of vintage industrial lighting, I would prefer something that combines other materials like natural wood or crystals with the metal {mostly black iron, helping to make the lighting highly durabable}, that also helps to create more styles, like Rustic Glam, one of my favorite tones for home decor, giving it a touch of romance. Here is one of my favorite vintage  industrial pendant lights that I find absolutely stunning. They are a fabulous way to light up a room, turning it into a retro and unique living space. While vintage industrial island lights are fastly becoming more popular, by creating a unique  industrial feeling that is both nostalgic of the past, and is a comforting look, that is perfect for the present.

I am usually a less modern/ industrial kinda girl, but the design style on this one is seriously winning me over.

If you have been reading my blog for any length of time than you know it is no secret, that I have been crushing on Crystal chandeliers. The look of natural crystals make the perfect decorative elements as part of the chandelier, coming in an array of many shapes and colors.

I am in love with this Amber crystal chandelier, with it's warm glow, helps to create that perfectly simple but glamorous look.

Pendant lighting is an elegant way to illuminate your room. Another one of my favorite styles are Tiffany pendant lights, which are not only elegant but also a luxurious way to make your living space more lively and attractive. Taking more care of your space-specific lighting needs, like gallery or desk lamps, pendant lights can service every area of your home with amazing results. Parrot Uncle, offers many kinds of Tiffany pendants for you to choose from. All of them are handmade and artistically designed, so you can rest assured that they are of the highest quality as well as unique.

Let me just say Wow!
Every single one of Parrot Uncle lightning products are absolutely stunning!
You can take a look at all of them here.

Apartment Therapy Review

Happy Weekend! Hope your weekends are going great! It's a fun and relaxing weekend over here. Today I am out in the yards. Now that Summer is over I can finally plant some color. Both the yards  were bare here when we moved in, except for 1 gorgeous shade tree out front, 2 queen palms, and 2 half dead sage bushes. I'm planting some lantana, a coral bush, a yellow bells bush, and a red Bottlebrush bush. I'm sure I won't be able to finish today, but hopefully get them planted by next weekend.

Today I am so incredibly excited to share with you the book I am featuring today (affiliate link)
Apartment Therapy Complete and Happy Home by Maxwell Ryan, Janel Laban, and Melanie Acevedo (Photographer).. Do not let the title fool you, this book isn't just for apartments, townhomes or condos, but it really does encompass your home, whether it be a seaside cottage, ranch home, or studio, it covers your complete home. It is filled with gorgeous ideas about decorating, organizing, cleaning, and even repairs, to help make your home a happy one. Since we just moved about 4 months ago, I've found this book very helpful in turning my new house into a home for my family.
From choosing the right colors, we'll be putting in new flooring after the holidays, so this book couldn't have come out at a more perfect time! This is one book I would definitely have out on my coffee table for all my guests to look through.
Over the years I've enjoyed reading Maxwell Ryan's blog Apartment Therapy, and was curious to know how he came up with the name for his blog. You really can learn so much about a blogger from their About (Me) page. Maxwell is not only a decorator, but personal life coach, as to earn him the nick name the "Apartment Therapist". His goal is to help his clients and us how to make our home happy and healthy. That is how his blog began with him sending out newsletters to his clients, and now he reaches out to help all of his readers through his blog, and now his books.

3 Things I like about this Book:
  • The photography is amazing. There are pictures of every room and style, color you could ever dream of, even neutrals (black, white, grey), even outdoor living spaces is covered. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you know how much I love pops of color, and this photo just leaped out at me. It isn't just a book for inspiration, it is full of wonderful tips and ideas to help you create the home that suits you and your lifestyle.
  • The book is divided into sections, from finding the home of your dreams, styling your home with color, the right flooring, lighting, even plants. One section is completely devoted to each room of the home, including outdoors. The final section is a helpful home repair section and resource listings. If there is a design, I just love, turning to the back I can find the resource to help me recreate that look
  • It has a monthly cleaning schedule and quick cleaning tips that I found very helpful. I've often wondered when the best time and how many times a year I should be cleaning, say my drapes, as well as learning and enjoying something new each month, from menu planning to visiting a new place, to becoming a mixologist. Also, several 8 hints for a happier home are given. My favorite tip about trends, "Ture style is about confidence, so following your heart whether something is "on trend" or not, is always going to yield the most powerful results".

A Week in CASL photos: June 1- June 7

Happy Monday!  I am glad you stopped by to visit me today! Hope you all had a fun and relaxing weekend! It was a fun birthday weekend around here! The girls baked cupcakes, while I was busy in the kitchen. Lindsay gave her grandmother the stepping stone she made. I didn't get a chance to get a picture, but if they say a picture is worth a thousand words, Oh My! I love that her and my oldest daughter are so artistic and creative, because Lindsay not only painted the stone with all these bright colors, she even gave her handprint finger nails as she painted them this peacock green color! I'll be sure and get a picture next time I visit my mother in law!

What I like about doing a Photo365, is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. I've tried 365 Photo or Daily photo memes several times before, and surprisingly, I am getting farther posting my photos once a week, instead of once a day. It makes a big difference, and it's really nice to look back and see a slice of my day!

June 1- Many...Too many Sprinkles *never* If you like Ice Cream, be sure to check out my Giveaway going on until June 15, and my Ice Cream Social going on for the month of June.

June 2- Starts with B- Almost Brunch...Blackberries and Bananas in a blue bowl!

June 3-Looking Up- I love looking up in the sky to see the moon against a blue sky!

June 4-Looking down...My very first Peonies..I am swooning!!So Pretty, love it! Found them at Trader Joes!

June 5th- About Me...Me, my husband, my children, and the things I love, mostly coastal, seashells, tropical colors, and turquoise ocean waves. The almost completed gallery wall, just missing one more photo!

June 6th- Silly- This past weekend, for the birthday party, my husband and sister in law, decided to recreate an old photo.

June 7th- Forgotten...While at the party we were all reminiscing over old photos. We found this one, of me and my husband going to prom. My sister in law was asking me to find pictures of my husband with hair, or as she called them 'hair photos'. I forgot this year marked 25 years, since prom, and graduation. We admit it, but almost forget what my husband looked like with hair, and for the life of all of us, we couldn't remember who's white car was in the driveway!

Are you on Instagram? You really should be!!  You can find me here on Instagram

I recently started following a photo a day prompt on #fmsphotoaday.
Let me know if you decide to join in the fun!

Have a great rest of your week! Until next time!
xo, Christine
