A Week in CASL Photos: September 21st- 27th

Happy Monday! Hope you all had relaxing weekends!
I enjoyed mine by planting some bushes out in the back yard,
crafting with Lindsay, and more Fall decorating,
(it was more like Halloween decorating)! I can already tell,
October is going to be a fun and busy month!
What I like about doing a Photo365, is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. I've tried 365 Photo or Daily photo memes several times before, and surprisingly, I am getting farther posting my photos once a week, instead of once a day. It makes a big difference, and it's really nice to look back and see a slice of my day!
This week was a fun week, with Colors for prompts!

September 21st- Red....Love Red peppers and Apples, just to snack on.
They are so delicious and sweet!

September 22nd- Orange...I love the fiery Orange of leaves when they change color in the Fall. This is a sneak peek of what's on my porch!

September 23rd- Yellow....I am not sure how many times I have walked into the office at my son's school, and never noticed these, stunning yellow bromelaids.

September 24th- Green....Hello, Green Pumpkin! This is one of the pumpkins in my Mother's Garden. Mine were doing fine, surviving through the heat, until Monsoon season struk, and the humidity just suffocated them.

September 25th- Blue...Blue ironstone tea cup! I love Blue and White patterns! This one is a Johnson Bros "Coaching Scene"! Think I will have a cuppa tea!

September 26th- Pink..Such a gorgeous pink color for an Orchid!

September 27th- Rainbow... I'm sad to see this week go...I had fun playing with the prompts! I took this picture on our trip to Vegas in 2013 The Chihuly Chandelier in the Bellagio.

Weekend Notes

Hello, and Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! September is one of my favorite months, Fall is in the air, announcing the end of Summer, like a breath of fresh air, especially living here in Arizona, it's still hovering around 100F, and I know Summer will linger here for a little while longer. I found out that my children also have a three day weekend next weekend, so instead of going up North this weekend, I will wait until next weekend, while my mother comes down for a family barbecue. Great news, I *finally* finished my paint project, and although it wasn't quite what I was envisioning, {I think the wood had it's own plan}, I really love how it turned out! I will reveal it all for you tomorrow!

A Week in CASL photos: August 17th- August 23rd

Happy Monday! Hope you all had relaxing weekends!
I enjoyed mine getting caught in a early afternoon monsoon,
while shopping for antiques up North!
It was incredibly cool and refreshing!
I told my children to run around in the rain.
You know your from Arizona, when
we actually like doing things in the rain,
and did it pour!
I'll give you more of an update on my visit up to Prescott, later this week!
August 17th-Inside...Sweet juicy ruby red gems of a pomegranate!

August 18th- Logo....I only bake with C&H Sugar

August 19th- Hat....She is my little diva! Love my 'Lil Lindsay!

August 20th- Surprise-...My daughter got a real surprise when she found out that these
Glazed Lemon Zucchini muffins had vegetables in them!

August 21st- Starts with M....My daughter Marissa, and her dog his name starts with M!

August 22nd- Pathway....My favorite pathway would lead me to relaxation, and this one just happens to be
leading me to the beach!

August 23rd- Lighting...On our trip up to Prescott, I found this 1920's Pan Style Light fixture at the Antique Store. How gorgeous is this with it's original etched glass light globes and ornate embellishments?!

Follow Friday #31: Having Fun in the Summertime

Happy Fri-Yay! I'm so happy you came to visit me today! As busy as a week  as it's been here with Back to School, my children are finally all settled in. I'm back to finishing up painting a couple of projects that have been in the works. This weekend, I would like to finish one of them. Also this weekend, a new natural foods store is opening in Scottsdale, and I am going to the Grand Opening as well as get my haircut, and attend my first Milk Painting class. I am so glad it's Friday, I'm really looking forward to this weekend!

For Follow Fridays from now on, I will be featuring 4 different blogs, one cooking/baking, one gardening, one décor/style, and one crafting

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter S'Mores Skillet Cookie from FreshMommy

Ok, I like S'mores, and the fun, fond memories of camping and roasting marshmallows over a campfire, BUT I love dark chocolate, and peanut butter. Better still, making S'mores at home!

Hanging Garden Basket via A Beautiful Mess

I've seen these baskets, so many times, they've been calling to me, everytime I pass them when I'm at HomeGoods, but didn't know where to put them or how to use them. What a clever idea to use them as Hanging gardening baskets.

She's a new lifestyle blogger for me. I love her blog already. She's fun, she loves peonies, loves to travel, and has a husky (we have 3) with two colored eyes!

When I saw this beautiful gallery wall, I knew I wanted to recreate something like this. You'll find this and other ways to bring the beach home in this article

A Week in CASL photos July 13th- July 19th

Happy Beautiful Monday! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend!

July 14th- Chaos- I waited for this storm all week, and while Chandler to the North and 15 miles South of us, enjoyed all the rain, I only saw about less than 10 minutes worth...But I did enjoy the 20 degree drop in temperature, even 90F with a cool breeze felt comfortable!
July 14th- Calm- I was hoping to take a pic of my lavender plant, but it died while I was out of town for the long holiday weekend, so I am sharing this picture of 'Lavender at Dawn'!
It's a perfectly calm dawn for a Monday morning!

July 15th- On my mind...Ice Cream...Yesterday, was #NationalIceCreamDay!
Here's my favorite flavor this Summer...Peach Cobbler IceCream

July 16th- Special to Me...This gorgeous bottle, is a gift from my SIL...she knows how much I love
Seahorses.

July 17th- Starts with T... A cup of 'Tea' of course!

July 18th- Book...Coming soon, a new book review for 'Infuse'...It's not just for water, this book gives some easy to follow recipes for infusing oils and spirits!

July 19th- Sign...This is a handpaited window sign I saw while on one of our trips to Prescott, AZ! It's from the ApplePan restaurant. They serve up an amazing breakfast, and the staff is always
friendly!

A Week in CASL Photos: June 22- June 28

Happy Beautiful Monday! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend! I was so excited this weekend, we got a couple storms that came our way! Sadly, I didn't see any rain, but it looked like it sprinkled in the middle of the night! Thank god for the cooler temps, even if it's only 6 or 7 degrees cooler. This weekend, I am looking forward to going up and seeing my family for the 4th! I'm making ice cream today, and the girls are making cupcakes! My sister in law and I , must think alike, because for Christmas we both bought my daughter a Baby cakes maker. Which is awesome because, my daughters now each have their own!

What I like about doing a Photo365, is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. June 22- In my garden- My cherry tomatoe plant and my Vincas seem to love this heat wave! Thank goodness, I can feel the monsoons approaching. We had a storm watch warning last night! Things are starting to cool down.

June 23- Gift...I found these fun, colorful letters at Home Goods for the girls' rooms!

June 24- View...This is a photo my oldest daughter took up in Washington. Not only do I love the view of the docile doe, but the ever green forest, instead of rocks and cactus!

June 25- Mini...Love me some mini Chocolate Chips!

June 26- Animal...This is Her Highness Ruby! She's getting up there at 12 years old, but still the sweetest kitten ever!

June 27....Peaches...I must have been a Southern girl in another life...I love sweet tea and peaches!
Be sure and check back on July 1st to see what I make with these sweet beauties!

June 28- Orange...One of the prettiest roses in my garden!

A Week in CASL Photos : June 15- June 21

Happy Beautiful Monday! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend, spending time with loved ones! Yesterday, while my husband and father-in-law spent most of the day bonding, the girls and I had our own bonding time, watching DIY tween room videos on Youtube. We enjoyed some serious giggle time!
I've been waiting for my daughter to find out how she would like to transform her IKEA rast dresser, and I think she came up with a cute idea, reminds me of a post I read about, "Chevrons vs. Polka Dots"! Honestly, I couldn't tell you which one she chose. I am only guessing, but she's most likely leaning towards polka dots, but don't quote me on it!

What I like about doing a Photo365, is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. June 15th- Lunchtime...Something light for Summer, mini tomato sandwhiches! Fresh basil, cream cheese, mayo, lemon juice on a toasted slice of baguette! Garnished with some black pepper!

June 16th- Sunny...Just like my day!

June 17th- Local...Outside our local Amtrak station, a cool abandoned, old, railcar!

June 18th- Sun...We've been getting a lot of it lately! Love how in the late afternoon, how it peeks through the leaves on the tree out front!

June 19- 9 o'clock...Time for my second cup of coffee!

June 20th- #WIDN...What I'm doing now...Decided to paint today!

and June 21st- (the prompt was wet, but it's to hot to go to the pool), so I posted on my

Follow Friday #25: Summer Getaway

Happy beautiful Friday!! What a whirlwind of a week it was here; which included one trip to urgent care, two trips to the pharmacy, and two birthday parties, and one small luncheon. My mom is coming this weekend, for my brother's birthday, (I'm just serving a small lunch), and my nephew's first birthday party this weekend. I was hoping to take a road trip this weekend, but it looks like plans changed, and we will be headed some where, destinations known, just not sure in which way we are headed for next weekend!

For Follow Fridays from now on, I will be featuring 4 different blogs, one cooking/baking, one gardening, one décor/style, and one crafting.

Chocolate Chip Graham Cracker cookies by Handle the Heat

Oh my, how yummy do these look! I need a big class of tall and very cold milk to go with them!

Looking for Tropical bohemian decorating inspiration, I love all the bright colors, patterns and all the lush, green tropical foilage; the colored bottles, and the gallery art. Very fun home tour!

When I found this blog looking up DIY projects for Shibori, I came back to her blog, and was absolutely amazed at her lovely and creative DIY projects.

If you are having a one of those days, where nothing seems to be running smoothly, or I like to call it 'Organized Chaos'...when I first started reading this blog, and reading her posts, it was almost as I was transported to this lush, green garden, where I could meander down pathways, relaxing and calming me with every step. She also has some gorgeous flower arrangements.

Hope you all have a great day!
Until next time!
