Follow Friday #16: Spread the Love of Inspiring

Happy Friday friends! Today when Katelyn woke up, she said "I am happy it's Friday!" I don't know about you, but me too! I hope you had a great week! Today, I am so excited to see my oldest daughter who is visiting from Washington state on Spring break. Tomorrow, I am taking Katelyn and a few of her friends to a skate park, for her birthday, and tomorrow night there is a salsa festival, that we missed last year I want to go to! Should be a fun and busy weekend!

I wait all week for this day! Friday Follow's are one of my favorite post, because I hope it helps you to find new and inspiring blogs to follow! Thanks to Pinterest and Instagram their Inspiration gave me so many ideas, with too many being my favorites, that  I would really love to share them all with you. I just don't want to take up all of your time, so here are a couple to spread the love and inspiration!

This week, I wanted to try something a little different, than just share, I want this to be more interactive and fun! For this week, I want to hear from you...I want to know who inspires you.
Here's the plan:
1. Post a comment, tagging an individual (or individuals) who inspired you this past week.
2. Visit and follow at least one of those mentioned. A comment is always nice...:)
3. Spread the love of inspiring others by reposting this photo and asking your friends to do the same as above (kindly provide photo credit to @mscraftberrybush).
Let's see how much love and inspiration we can spread together.

Love the name of her blog! It's fun and fresh!

Pop of Pretty

Her blog name says it all! She definitely does have a "Pop of Pretty" style! Love it!

Faded Charm Cottage

It's hard to find something I like best out of this photo and the many more like this one on her blog! Her charm is anything but faded! I almost scooped up an enamel colander last week! Think I'll go back and see if it's still there!

I am finding one style that makes my heart happy, is a colorful one! One DIY I want to *cough* try and make is a tufted headboard! The pretty bright blue one caught my eye, as did the title of her blog!

In honor of my daughter visiting from Washington, here are two of her DIY State Pride Artwork!

A Week in CASL photos: February 26- March 4

I am so glad you stopped by to visit me today! What I love about Wednesday is that I get to share with you a peek into what my week has been like, and possibly a sneak peek to what next week will bring. I've tried 365 Photo or Daily photo memes several times before, and surprisingly, I am getting farther posting my photos once a week, instead of once a day. It makes a big difference, and it's really nice to look back and see a slice of my day!

February 26- Grow....How does my garden grow? Here are my first tulips of Spring!!

February 27- Still Life...When I think of Still life photos, I think back to art class and the first thing that came to mind was a bowl of apples. As it just happened, I planned a post on an Upside down cake. Pineapple, being my husband's favorite, but I wanted to put a new twist on an old favorite. What I came up with was a Maple-Cinnamon Apple Upside down cake, and let me tell you, it was absolutely mouth watering, delicious!!

February 28- Thank you! Thank you God for another amazing day!

March 1- Begins with R....This is my Nana's "R"ecipe for her New England clam chowder, that I will share with you soon! One thing I truly love is anything hand written and the stories behind them.

March 2- Part of me...My family. Me, my husband, his mom and dad, his sister, and our brother in law, and my nieces and nephew.

March 3- Open...I can't wait until I can open this door to our new home, and a new chapter in our lives. If all goes well, we should close escrow at the end of the month! :) Not only opening this door, but thanks to a dear friend, for giving me the idea for a new job opportunity, starting soon. Mostly just a couple hours here and there, but with great potential to lead me on a path to the job I didn't initially want, but as well all are familiar with life has a funny way of showing you what you truly need to be a part of! In a way life has kind of come full circle for me, with my son being diabetic, prompting me to go to school to become a registered dietician, receiving my Associates of Science in Nutrition (which I still need my Bachelors for the RD), to now, one step closer to not really a dream I've had, but one that is coming to be my reality! More to come!

March 4- Geometric...Lately I have this fascination with shells. I am looking for a fun DIY with shells, but in the meantime, I did find while surfing the web, this web site that identifies sea shells. It's amazing how many types of shells there actually are. You can find this website at
I Love Shelling!

Are you on Instagram?  You really should be!!  I recently started a photo a day prompt on #fmsphotoaday.
Let me know if you decide to join in the fun!

Have a great rest of your week! Until next time!

Follow Friday #10: Boxwood Wreaths, Pops of Color with Roses and Chocolate

Happy Friday friends! I hope you had a great week! Compared to last week, which was cold and rainy, this week, it's been in the 80s and quite warm. Which has been good, I've been out in the garden, checking on my tulips, planted some basil, and pruned my roses.

It has been a busy week. Lindsay's birthday was fun. We saw both the new Sponge Bob movie, and Paddington. I didn't think I'd like Paddington, but Nicole Kidman and I recognized Hugh Bonneville from Downton Abbey, starred in it, and it actually was a very good movie. It made me feel like making marmalade!!

This week, I am finishing up on one if not two projects, my accent table and Katelyn's dresser. I was hoping to have one done this week, but I had to have my husband  bring in the heavy artillery, a small sander. I've picked the color out for the accent table, and Katelyn is choosing between white/ with aqua ombre, or coral with darker shaded stripes.  Her room is purple, so we'll see what surprises this dresser brings us, because a purple dresser would be just too much purple, and I don't feel like painting a room, maybe later this summer.

I just don't want to take up all of your time, so here are a couple to spread the love and
inspiration!

After I saw these amazing topiaries, I was looking for some inspiration for Boxwood wreaths. I have three small grapevine wreaths, that I wanted to turn into boxwood wreaths, and I found this post!

I love her style! While I love neutral, (eventually I want more white in my house), it's the pop of color that strikes me! Also, she offers some tips on how to Create an Elegant Home on a Budget!

Oh my gosh! I love the name of her blog, and her perfect style of using "pops of color"!

Looking for more inspiration, look no further! I found a blog that I share so much in common with. She loves roses, and chocolate as much as I do, and shares an abundance of inspiration!
